Grading

Once you become a member of our club you’ll get to experience all our activities.   Each term we grade, we find this gives you continous feedback on how you are performing and enables you to see your advancement each term.    A new belt is available after each grading.   You have the choice of taking part in the official British Judo Associate (BJA) grading or in the Paul Jones Club grading.  Once you’ve gained a new grading you’ll receive a well-deserved certificate and may even get the chance to move up to the next class!

When training with Paul Jones School of Judo you can enter all the competitions which we hold termly. Our friendly volunteers and coaches will support you, and our competitions accepts other schools and clubs around Hampshire and surrounding counties,  so that you’ll get to go against new people!    As you develop as a Judoka, we will discuss once you have gained some experience from our Southern Schools Championship if you wish to enter other competitions we attend throughout the year.
