This class is for players ages 13 – Adults, beginners are still welcome to join.
This class is to develop all aspects of judo kata (sequence of the techniques link together) Rundori (free practice) shiai (competition). We aim to introduce both Junior and Senior Judo to arm locks and strangles by showing judo as a self defence system which can sometimes mean using weapons. We also aim for the players to start developing their favourite techniques in a way that they can excel to an excellent skill level and execute their techniques from any position.
On occasions we have a guest coach either teaching traditional Judo or other grappling arts such as No Gi combat submission wrestling and Catch Wrestling.
All aspects of Judo and grading are taught in this class where players can reach their own black belts.
