What a day. Its been brilliant, great first National level competition for Archy, he went there to gain experience, soak in the nature of the competition and he’s done exactly that, he’s had great fun and has come away pleased with his performance. Cannot ask for more.
First fight he lost in the last second being thrown for Ippon, he did really well against the 2018 British bronze medallist. He had to win the next match to stay in the competition. He did. He continued to make it through to the repacharge for the bronze medal. He got knocked out in the 3rd round of 5 and has placed top 14th in GB out of 22 in the pre-cadet -46kg. He fought very well.
Well done Archy, looking forward to seeing how far you can go.
