Not only is Judo an Olympic sport, it’s one of those sports that helps to educate its players in the ethics and morals for every day life.
Children who undertake Judo develop:
Self Discipline
Self Confidence
Honesty
Patience
Leadership skills
Communication
Listening
Physical Fitness
Character and
Competition
So it is a perfect sport to include within your curriculum whether it is before the start of school, lunchtime, after school or part of your PE curriculum or PPA time. Judo at school covers the criteria required in the curriculum and has been seen to improve the schools ofsted report.
We supply everything that is needed – the Judo Mats and Judo Kits, all you need to provide is a sports or dining hall.
All our coaches have DBS, First Aid, Qualified BJA coach Award, Qualified SSJ coach award level 1-4. We have Insure4sport Insurance (£10 million), trained in child welfare and protection (UK sport)
We teach typically by year group, we undertake termly grading, so the children can see their progression and embed those important skills as well as have the opportunity if they want to take part in the Southern Schools Competitions (typically 3 a year), where they can put the skills and training to the test and compete against other children from other schools and Judo clubs from the Southern Region.
